FAQs
What happens at a typical BSAA meeting?
Board meetings usually include:
Updates from committees such as Events, Communications, and Governance
Presentations and discussions with local business owners, nonprofit leaders, educators, and elected officials
Time for community input and discussion
It’s a great way to stay informed, meet your neighbors, and hear what’s happening in and around Brady Street.
What’s the difference between the BSAA and the Brady Street BID?
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
Can I become a board member?
Yes! If you live in the neighborhood and care about our community, you're eligible to apply. You don’t need any special skills - just a commitment to attend most meetings and a willingness to help out.
We are a working board - members are expected to join committees, help plan events, fundraise, and pitch in where needed. We have no full-time employees, so our success depends on community participation.
To apply, you can:
Talk to any current board member
Or fill out the Board Member Interest Form
